January 2016 – Flatter and Associates, Inc. (Flatter), welcomes Mr. Brad D. Smith, PMP as its new Director of Navy Programs.

As an active member of the Charleston community for over 15 years, Brad will now serve as Flatter’s Director of Navy Programs, leading its Program Management and Business Development efforts across the Navy. Among his many strengths, Brad possesses a strong history of success in both Program Management and Business Development within the Federal sector. As he resides in Charleston, Brad’s primary focus is on the SPAWAR Systems Center (Atlantic) market – with concurrent responsibilities across the broader Navy market.

Mr. Smith received his Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Marketing from Clemson University and later his Master’s Degree from the College of Charleston in Computer and Information Sciences. Beginning his career in computer sciences, Brad uses his 15 years of experience in architecting, designing, implementing, testing, and deploying software products and systems to deliver consistent excellence. Mr. Smith’s project management skills have been exemplified by his 10 years in supervisory roles, culminating with his PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. In addition, Mr. Smith is a graduate of the 2014 Class of Leadership Charleston. President & CEO, J.R.
