May 2015 – Flatter and Associates, Inc. (Flatter), will be represented at the 2015 National Contract Management Association’s (NCMA) World Congress on July 28, 2015 by our Chief Operating Officer (COO), Mr. Jeff Covino, and Program Manager, Mr. Rod Aweina. As panel speakers, Mr. Covino & Mr. Aweina will be participants in an Operational Contract Support (OCS) discussion among NCMA conference attendees.
The panel discussion, entitled A Six-Week Project Morphs into a Nine-Year Interagency Global OCS Portfolio, will be presented to 2015 World Congress participants as a follow-on to the dynamic 2013 NCMA workshop on the Department of Defense interagency collaboration overseas. This case study will examine how an intended six-week effort matured into a multi-year global portfolio with more than 40,000 users worldwide. This discussion will also address the experiences and challenges that the panelists faced regarding contract management, program management, and acquisitions along the way. NCMA’s World Congress is an inspiring event for contract management, procurement, and acquisition professionals. It brings in noteworthy keynote speakers, hot-topic executive panel discussions, and breakout sessions from leaders in the field. Mr. Covino said of the event, “World Congress is an exciting time for contract professionals, government and industry alike, to exchange ideas as well as further the learning and implementation of contracting best practices.”
